CLASSMATES of a teenager diagnosed with cancer have rallied round to support him and his family.
Archie Hamilton, who is in S4 at Knox Academy, was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma – a rare type of bone cancer – in October.
The teenager, who is a keen rugby player, is undergoing chemotherapy before starting radiotherapy in the New Year.
A fundraising match was held at Haddington RFC to support the Haddington school pupil.

Speaking ahead of the school breaking up for the Christmas break, a spokeswoman for Knox Academy said: “The total raised was just short of £1,000.
“Further fundraising took place on Thursday, with a staff bake sale, which raised £257.53 towards The Teenage Cancer Trust and The Bone Cancer Trust and we are ending the term with a Christmas themed dress down day, with half of the funds going to Archie and the other half to Our Community Kitchen.”
