A yellow weather warning for ice has been put in place by the Met Office for tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday across parts of East Lothian.
The ice warning will impact parts of the north east of the county from 6pm tomorrow until noon tomorrow.
The Met Office said on their website: “Frequent wintry showers running down the east coast are likely to fall on frozen surfaces in places, leading to the formation of icy patches.”
The Met Office has warned that some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces could occur and that there may be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Those travelling in icy conditions should be cautious as roads may be slippery. It can take up to ten times longer to stop in icy conditions so drivers should remain alert at all times.
More information on the weather warning, what areas are covered and what to do in icy conditions can be found on the Met Office website.
