CALLS have been made to police about “ex-prisoners” visiting homes in Dunbar and trying to sell items.
The issue was highlighted in a report to the town’s community council.
The written report from the community police team said: “Several calls received regarding ex-prisoners going door-to-door selling household items as part of their rehabilitation and integration back into society.
"From a police perspective there may be licensing offences, ie no pedlar’s certificate, and would encourage householders to ask to see their certificates.”
Anyone looking to speak to police should call 101.
