“SEVERAL” drivers have been warned about speeding in a number of towns and villages throughout East Lothian.
Community police officers have conducted speed checks in hotspot areas in Haddington and North Berwick, as well as Athelstaneford, Gifford and Gullane.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed the locations had been identified as “problematic” at recent CAPP (Community and Police Partnership) meetings.
They said: “Several drivers were warned in line with the Lord Advocate’s guidelines, and one motorist was issued a conditional offer ticket.
“Your local community officers will continue to conduct speed checks over the coming weeks.”
