GLAMPING pods and hot tubs have been given the go-ahead in the countryside near Oldhamstocks.
Natalie Welsh’s proposals for land at Ferneylea were approved by East Lothian Council’s planning department.
Planning officials received a letter of representation to the plans for land on a paddock. Concerns included that the two pods and hot tubs should be screened from a neighbouring property, as well as the potential for noise and disturbance.
However, it was deemed there was “no unacceptable loss of amenity”.
Drawings included with the application show the open-plan pods featuring a living area, kitchenette and bed, as well as a shower room.
