The yellow weather warning for rain issued by the Met Office which covers East Lothian and eastern Scotland has been extended until 11.59pm tonight (Friday).
The original yellow weather warning was due to end at 6pm today but after bad weather conditions have continued it has been extended.
East Lothian Council has been made aware of water on roads across the county and police continue to encourage road users to drive safely.
The council said that the latest update from SEPA regarding flooding was that water levels continue to rise but that this is normal and there is no cause for concern currently.
