A NEW state-of-the-art care home in North Berwick was officially opened by Lord Lieutenant Roderick Urquhart last week.
Tantallon House is situated on Tantallon Road, near Tesco, and is run by Morar UK, boasting 70 bedrooms in its complex as well as many other facilities.
The £15 million project is expected to bring more than 80 jobs to the area and provides residential opportunities for a range of people, including those living with dementia or with extra palliative care needs.
Described by care home manager Gladys Somanje as the “pinnacle of care home services”, the facility offers everything from a cinema room and hair salon to a bar.
The care home also hosted an open day recently, allowing members of the public to look inside.
A spokesperson thanked everyone who attended, adding: “It was a very successful day with over 100 people passing through our doors to enquire about our beautiful home.”
