A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office which covers the whole of East Lothian from 3pm tomorrow (Thursday) until 6pm on Friday.
A warning on the Met Office website said: “A spell of persistent, and at times heavy rainfall will develop during Thursday, continuing on Friday, leading to a risk of flooding.
“Conditions will be wetting up through Thursday with a steady stream of showers followed by persistent rainfall later Thursday, continuing on into Friday.
“Rainfall is expected to build up across the high ground of eastern Scotland with 50 to 70 mm expected of rain expected.”
The warning stretches across large parts of the east of Scotland including, Edinburgh, East Lothian, Fife, Perth and Aberdeen.
Those planning to travel tomorrow or Friday should plan in advance and be alert to dangers caused by rain.
