A COMMUNITY is being urged to come together to celebrate 60 years since it was gifted its village hall.
East Linton Community Hall was handed over to the community in 1962.
Since then, it has been fully renovated and extended to provide modern-day services for all age groups, thanks to many dedicated volunteers serving on the community hall committee.
The building is used by many different groups of all ages and small businesses, as well as taking private bookings for wedding receptions and birthday parties.
The hall is a central social hub in the village and has become a performance venue for live music, cinema, drama and the village pantomime.
Now, a diamond celebration is being planned for Saturday (November 12). Doors open at 7.30pm with live music, bar, supper and raffle. Tickets, £10, are available from The Mart Farm Shop, East Linton.
