GRAFFITI, language, photography and dancing loving mature students have celebrated at a graduation ceremony with a difference.

Residents at Lammermuir House Care Home have been showing you are never too old to learn something new.

That has included channelling their inner Banksy to create works of art.

The enthusiastic pensioners have added an impressive range of skills to their list of many talents, including studying new languages, joining bespoke live tours of far-flung places, taking dancing and singing classes and photography courses.

Keiron Mellotte, manager of the Dunbar care home, said: “Continuing to learn in older age has many benefits.

“As well as keeping our brains healthy, acquiring new knowledge gives a real sense of purpose and achievement.”
