SCOTTISH Labour leader Anas Sarwar MSP paid a visit to Foresters Park to watch Tranent Juniors on Saturday as they lost 1-0 at home to Celtic B in the Scottish Lowland Football League.
Mr Sarwar met with fans, young and old, and posed for pictures with a Tranent Juniors scarf as well as various other club merchandise.
A post on the Tranent Juniors F.C. Supporters page on Saturday said: “We had a visit to Foresters Park today from the Scottish Labour Leader Anas Sarwar.
“He spent a lot of time chatting to supporters, young and old and watched the game.”
Mr Sarwar was treated to an entertaining game as Tranent narrowly lost 1-0 to Celtic B thanks to a first half goal. A late penalty miss from Tranent proved costly as they couldn’t find an equaliser.
