A former solicitors’ office could be transformed into a flat under plans submitted to East Lothian Council.
Morris Group Holdings wants to change the use of the property at 39 Bridge Street, Musselburgh.
It was formerly the base of solicitors Somerville & Russell, which closed earlier this year after more than three decades in Musselburgh.
Plans show the building is currently designated as class two use – financial, professional or lawyers.
However, if approved, the use of the building’s ground floor would change to class one – retail sale of goods, hairdresser, dry cleaning.
A three-bedroom property would then be created on the first floor.
