GREEN-FINGERED volunteers will have to wait until next month to find out if they have struck gold.
Keep Scotland Beautiful’s annual Beautiful Scotland awards were due to take place last week.
However, following the death of the Queen, it was decided to push the event back.
It will now take place on October 19, when groups from throughout the country, including Aberlady, Gifford and Haddington, will learn their fate.
Judges toured villages’ and towns’ horticultural hotspots earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, North Berwick in Bloom is flying the flag in the Coastal category of the Britain in Bloom competition. Winners will be crowned on October 10.
