NEARLY 50 solar panels will be added to the roof of a town centre hotel.
The Royal Mackintosh Hotel, on Dunbar’s Station Road, had applied to East Lothian Council last month to allow work to be carried out.
The council’s planning department gave the green light for 48 solar panels after no objections from the public.
Planning officers noted the location of the panels and felt they would not be harmful to the town’s conservation area.
