A Haddington woman has been banned from contacting a couple following two incidents of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards them.

Dawn Phillips approached her former partner and the woman and began shouting and kicking out at High Street in Haddington on March 18.

Phillips, of Herdmanflatt, also shouted and swore at the couple near her home on July 15. The 59-year-old appeared for sentencing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Tuesday after previously pleading guilty.

Solicitor Angela Craig said her client was a first offender.

Sheriff Adrian Fraser fined Phillips £300 and banned her from contacting the couple by imposing a non-harassment order for the next 18 months.
