Elphinstone Village Fair on Saturday saw a multitude of activities keeping visitors entertained at Elphinstone Community Centre.

Entertainment included face painting, bouncy castles and a fancy dress competition, at an event that was free to attend thanks to fundraising by Elphinstone Community Association.

Mike Falconer, chairman of Tranent and Elphinstone Community Council, said: “It was a marvellous event.

“It was organised by Margo Macdonald, from the community council, who did a great job with it.

“It was a fantastic family fun day, the weather was great, which really helped, and there was loads there for people to do.

“It was reasonably well attended too, which was great to see how supported it was by the community.

“I couldn’t stay for the whole event but certainly from what I saw there were plenty of people.”
