A NORTH Berwick woman sent offensive voicemail messages to another woman.

Elley Thomson sent the grossly offensive messages to Rowen Aziz and swore, uttered insulting remarks and threats of violence at Acheson Drive, Prestonpans, in November last year.

The following day, 22-year-old Thomson behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and behaving aggressively during an incident in Aberlady. She also uttered threats to kill and made racist remarks during the outburst at the village’s School Road.

Thomson, of Dall Hollow, pleaded guilty to two charges when she appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.

Sheriff John Cook deferred sentence for social work reports.
