ROAD closures and parking suspensions have been announced by East Lothian Council ahead of North Berwick Highland Games and Fringe by the Sea in the town.

From tomorrow (Friday) until next Sunday (August 14), parking along the eastbound carriageway of St Baldreds Road will be suspended from number 52 until the junction of East Road.

Additionally, the eastbound carriageway of St Baldreds Crescent until the junction with St Baldreds Road will see the same suspension.

On Saturday, there will be road closures as the Highland Games return to North Berwick for the first time since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dunbar Road will be closed between the junction of St Baldreds Road and Lochbridge Road from 7am until 9pm.

There will also be parking restrictions on Lochbridge Road, Dundas Road, Lady Jane Road for a distance of 1,180m. Greenheads Road will also have parking suspended for an 185m stretch.

In the evening, a parade through the town will also take place, resulting in further road closures.

Quality Street, Market Place, Church Road, West End Place, Forth Street and Westgate will be closed from 6.30pm to 9pm.

Traffic control will also be in place on Dunbar Road, East Road, Quality Street, High Street and Westgate.
