A TEENAGE rapist who left a schoolgirl victim feeling that she wanted to scrub herself after an attack has been jailed after committing a string of sex crimes against underage girls.

Bradley Booth raped three girls in East Lothian and Edinburgh, and perpetrated offences against four others over a three-year period between 2016 and 2019.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard that one victim said she felt "minging" after he subjected her to a rape attack at her home when she told him "no".

Booth, now 21, of Northfield Drive in Edinburgh, had denied a series of charges during a trial but was found guilty of 11 charges.

A judge told him: "By the verdict of the jury, you have been convicted of 11 charges under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act. The most serious of these are three charges of rape."

Lord Tyre told the first offender that he would require to get a background report on him ahead of sentencing, but warned that, given the seriousness of the offences, it was "extremely unlikely" that the sentence would be anything but imprisonment.

The judge told jurors that it had been "a rather distressing case".

Attacked a 14-year-old

Booth, an airport duty free worker, was on bail during his trial but was remanded in custody today (Wednesday) following the verdict, ahead of sentencing next month.

His first victim was a 13-year-old who he attacked in the Niddrie area of Edinburgh in 2016. The girl had been drinking and found herself alone when Booth molested her.

Booth committed his first rape the following year when he attacked a 14-year-old girl at a house in the Niddrie area after removing her lower clothing.

He also sent sexual communications to another 14-year-old in Edinburgh between March 2017 and March the following year, and twice had sex with the underage child. Booth denied being in touch with her or knowing her.

He admitted being in contact with a15-year-old girl in 2018 and claimed that he visited her home in Haddington after she told him she had "a free house".

But the girl said she was pinned down and raped by him during the visit in March 2018.

The girl later spoke to her sister, who urged her to report it to the police.

Booth was also convicted of having underage sex with another 14-year-old girl at a house in Edinburgh between May 20 and June 30 in 2018, despite claiming he had never seen her prior to watching her give evidence.

His final victim was a 15-year-old he had contacted by text and Snapchat and asked her to send sexual images. He had sex with the underage girl but then raped her after she was feeling sore and said no to him.

He claimed that he thought she was 16 or 17 from how she appeared on social media.

Booth was placed on the sex offenders' register.
