BUDDING golfers had the chance to learn from one of the best ahead of the Scottish Open.
Rickie Fowler was among the golfing superstars from across the globe taking part in the competition at The Renaissance Club over the weekend.
Before teeing off, the American, who won the competition at Gullane in 2015, shared some tips with young golfers.
Ryan Killorn, who is a member of West Links Juniors at North Berwick Golf Club, was among those meeting Fowler.
A children’s clinic at the professional driving range took place, with the youngsters having to pass a skills test at North Berwick West Links before being invited to the clinic at The Renaissance Club.

Eleven-year-old Ryan’s mum Katrina told the Courier how her son had enjoyed the memorable occasion.
She said: “He loved it.
“It was really good and he learned a few tips.”
Each of the youngsters had the chance to ask Fowler, who has finished second in three of the four Majors – The Open Championship, the US Open and the Masters – questions, get an autograph and pose for photographs.
Katrina, of North Berwick, said questions included how different it was playing in Scotland compared to the USA, and also what type of research golfers did before taking to the course.
Fowler finished on four-over-par and a share of 47th spot at the competition, which was won by Xander Schauffele on Sunday.
