The final day of the Genesis Scottish Open is underway at the Renaissance Club, near Gullane, as the world's best golfers aim to take home Scotland's showpiece event.

The golf started at 9.15am this morning with Guido Migliozzi and Justin Rose geting the day's action up and running.

World number 11, Xander Schauffele, leads the field by two strokes over Spain's Rafa Cabrera Bello in what is set up to be a grandstand finish on Scotland's golf coast.

The American bounced back from a poor first round 72 to shoot 65 and 66 over Friday and Saturday to race into the lead on seven under.

Schauffele will tee of with the Spaniard at 3.40pm.

Englishman Jordan Smith, whose hole-in-one on Friday won him and his caddy a new car each, is a shot further back on four under alongside Ryan Palmer and Jordan Spieth.

Course record-equalling Cameron Tringale has seen less fortune on the course following his opening round 61 but remains in the hunt on three under alongside US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick and Alex Smalley.

Russell Knox is the leading Scot in the field sitting on plus two Connor Syme and Marc Warren a shot further back.

East Lothian's Grant Forrest missed the cut by three after finishing six over par on his home course.

The day is set to be a thrilling finish with the winner far from decided and plenty twists and turns to be expected.
