The Genesis Scottish Open returns to East Lothian this weekend as The Renaissance Club gets ready to host the tournament for the fourth time.

The event will prove to be fun for all the family with organisers offering free entry for children, creating a memorable experience as the world’s elite take to the course.

The tournament is set to be the biggest iteration of the Scottish Open yet as it welcomes co-sanctioning with the PGA Tour for the very first time.

Nine of the top-10 golfers in the world will feature in the event, with blockbuster names such as Scottie Scheffler, John Rahm, Justin Thomas and recent US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick all coming to the county.

East Lothian’s own Grant Forrest will also be in the field, flying the flag for the county and hoping to take victory on home turf.

A tournament spokesperson said: “Taking place at The Renaissance Club, Gullane from July 7 to 10, the event not only has 9 out of the 10 best players in the world, but also a fantastic spectator’s village full of food, drinks and entertainment for everyone to enjoy - it’s the perfect day out for friends and family.

“Forecasts are expected to be dry and sunny so ditch the waterproofs and umbrellas and bring the sun cream. Gates open at 7.30am Thursday to Saturday, with Sunday opening at 8.30am.

“Parking is available on site along with busses which will be operating to and from Longniddry train station.”

Tickets for the event can be purchased here, with adults priced at £45 and youths (13-17) priced from £12.50 and kids under-12 going free with any purchase of an adult ticket.
