Dirleton Fete and Games returned yesterday after a two-year gap after Covid-19 caused the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 celebrations.

The event is believed to have been held in the village since the early 1900s, and a photo of one of the events held in the 1950s was one of several pictures on display at the Dirleton History Society stall.

The afternoon included a baking competition, a fruit carving competition and a fun family dog show.

The event which took place on Dirleton Green and also hosted a variety of local stalls and fun games and activities for all ages to enjoy.
