ENTHUSIASTIC high-school pupils have collected information, materials and interviews to bring Prestonpans’ mining history to life at an exhibition in the town this weekend.

Preston Lodge High School pupils have been learning about the importance of mining heritage in their community and have collated interviews, archive materials and works from local artist Tom Ewing.

The Mining Memories Exhibition, at Prestongrange Museum, will be available to visit this Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4.30pm.

The exhibition will showcase the work of the pupils in conjunction with Salt of the Earth – Preston, Seton, Gosford Heritage Connections and community development officer Jordan Irvine, learning about mining through visiting Lady Viv.
