YOUNGSTERS in Haddington can look forward to summer holidays to remember after a £100,000 upgrade of a play park was finished.
The play area within Neilson Park has been shut since earlier this year but was packed with children earlier this afternoon (Wednesday).
The upgrade to the park, which was expected to cost about £108,000, is the first since work was carried out in 2003.
Pupils at the town’s primary schools were involved in the design process.
A spokeswoman for East Lothian Council said: "Great news for young people in Haddington … the new play area within Neilson Park opens today!
"We hope you enjoy it after school this afternoon."
