WORK on a new spectator stand at the home of Dunbar United is now under way.

A 200-seater stand is being created at New Countess Park.

Officials are keen for the stand to be in place for the new season, which gets under way at the end of next month.

A number of friendlies have been lined up for the club, who will kick off the 2022/23 campaign in the East of Scotland Football League (EoSFL) First Division alongside county rivals Preston Athletic.

Home ties against East Stirlingshire (July 9), Hearts (July 16), Arniston Rangers (July 23) and Hibernian (July 26) have been confirmed, as well as a trip to face Bo’ness United on July 12.

A testimonial for Grant Thomson will take place on June 25 when Dunbar United host Raith Rovers, while the Seasiders will face Berwick Rangers for the Paul Hampshire Memorial Cup on July 5.
