Three days of fun to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II can be enjoyed at historic Newhailes House & Gardens at Musselburgh from June 3 to 5.

The visitor attraction, run by the National Trust for Scotland (NTS), is hosting a family festival from 10am to 4pm each day. Everything from Highland dancers and food and drink stalls to live music is on offer, as well as face painting, balloon modelling, buskers and samba.

Claire Grant, operations manager of Edinburgh & East for the National Trust for Scotland, said: “Come and enjoy the jubilee long weekend at Newhailes at our Family Festival Weekend. With food and drink stalls, live music, Highland dancers and more, we’re excited to celebrate this historic occasion with you.”

The event costs £2 for adults and £1 for children, with youngsters under two allowed in for free. Tickets are valid all day. A £3 car park charge applies to non-NTS members.

Information on how to book is available on the Newhailes Facebook page.
