A DUNBAR man who assaulted a teenage boy in the town has been ordered not to approach or contact him for the next 12 months.
Walter Coulter, of Rigg Park, grabbed the boy by the clothes and pushed him on the body, causing him to fall and strike his head.
Coulter also placed the 16-year-old in a headlock and compressed his neck at an address in the town on April 6. Coulter also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering offensive remarks during the same incident.
The 50-year-old appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Tuesday for sentencing after he had previously pleaded guilty to two offences.
Sheriff John Cook placed Coulter on a 12-month supervision order, along with a non-harassment order banning him from approaching or contacting the boy for the same length of time.
