ENGINEERS are working to restore power in Haddington following an 'emergency shutdown'.
SP Energy Networks posted confirmed that households and businesses in the area had suffered a power cut this morningand with repairs were “taking longer than expected”.
A spokesperson for the group apologised to anyone in the EH41 postcode area for the inconvenience.
A statement said: “It was necessary for our engineers to carry out an emergency shutdown at 7.57am following reports of a safety concern and this may be affecting the supply to your property.
“Repairs are taking longer than expected because of the complexity of the repair and our team are now working to get your power back on as quickly and as safely as possible by 8pm.
“We will update this message if this information changes.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
