RUNNERS are getting ready to take on a big challenge as the fifth annual Reverse Rett Run returns to Archerfield Walled Garden.

This Sunday's event, sponsored by Paris Steele, and will have something for all levels of runners including a 10k, 5k and a 1k run for children.

The run is in support of Reverse Rett, a charity that is close to the hearts of North Berwick residents Catherine and Five-in-a-rower Ross McKinney whose daughter Eliza has Rett Syndrome.

On the day there will also be a bouncy castle, face painter, stalls and some live music to enjoy.

The event will also see Five-in-a-row's Atlantic rowing boat making its final public appearance before moving on to pastures new.

Registration for the 10k event will be online only and close at midnight tonight (Thursday); entrants to the 5k run can register online or on the day from 9.30am to 10.30am.

Entry costs £20 and £10 respectively with these prices being halved if the entrant has set up their own JustGiving page for the run.

The runs commence at 11am with the children's run taking place at 12.45pm. Entry for the children's event is £3 with registration also taking place on the day.
