A VISITOR to Belhaven Hospital returned from seeing a terminally ill relative to find their car damaged.

Police are now appealing for information after the car was vandalised between 3pm and 4pm on May 1.

The car was parked outside the hospital and the visitor returned to find it “severely damaged with an unknown substance poured over the paintwork”.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said it would cost “a large sum” to repair.

They added: “If anybody has any information in relation to the above described incident, please contact Police Scotland on non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number 2441 of May 1.”
