A TRANENT man who was caught driving while more than double the drink-drive limit has been banned from the road and fined.
Ray McGarry, of Coalgate Avenue, was caught with 49mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath at Mayfield Avenue in Musselburgh on September 20, 2020 – the legal limit is 22mg.
The 33-yearold appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court to admit the offence last Wednesday.
He was fined a total of £380 and banned from driving for 12 months.
McGarry also had a not guilty plea accepted to assaulting a woman by pushing her on the body at Coalgate Avenue on the same date.
He also had a second not guilty plea accepted to punching a second woman on the head during the same alleged incident.
