RETROSPECTIVE planning permission is being sought for a beer garden outside East Lothian’s smallest pub.
David Mackinnon has applied to East Lothian Council’s planning department for the change of use of garden to outdoor covered seating area for beer garden to the rear of the Station Yard micropub.
Documents included with the application for the Dunbar pub note: “This retrospective planning application is for the change of use to a triangular fenced off area to the rear of the Station Yard micropub.
“This piece of land measures approximately 12.1m by 10.1m and is to be used as a sheltered extension to the current beer garden.
“This piece of land was previously used as a garden for the Coast2Coast Surf School, who were previous tenants of the adjacent building, and latterly was wasteland.”
