A FOOTBALL match in memory of a Haddington teenager is being played on Sunday.

David Scougall died on March 25 last year, aged 17.

The keen footballer played for a number of clubs, including Portobello, Haddington and Longniddry.

His mum, Nikki Graham, told the Courier: “He was a very keen football, a very good footballer.

“He was a great striker with a brilliant left peg.”

The match kicks off at 1.30pm at Millfield – home of Haddington Athletic.

Teams made up of the teenager’s family and friends will play the match, with food and drink served at the Victoria Inn afterwards.

Money raised will go to the soccer school run by Scott Bonar, manager of Haddington Athletic.

He had coached David, who was studying sport and fitness at Edinburgh College.

Donations will be collected on the gate.
