A WOMAN who stole alcohol from the Co-op in Port Seton will be sentenced this month.

Lisa Rybak stole the of alcohol, along with food items, from the Links Road supermarket on May 12 last year.

Rybak, 44, also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering threats at the same location three days later.

She pleaded guilty to the two charges at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday and sentenced was deferred for social work reports to be prepared.

No narration of the offences was given in court and will instead be read out at the next calling.

Lawyer Angela Craig said her client had lost her accommodation at the village’s Wemyss House and was now residing in Edinburgh.

Rybak will return to court on April 25.
