A FAMILY-FRIENDLY music festival will be staged in the grounds of historic Newhailes House at Musselburgh for the first time.
The National Trust for Scotland's visitor attraction will host Festhailes on Saturday, May 7, starring a line-up of Scottish acts, headlined by Kyle Falconer, lead vocalist of The View.
Other acts set to perform are: Daniel Meade and The Basement Boogiemen; Blue Rose Code; Mark Sharp and the Bicycle Thieves; The Ronains; and Have Mercy Las Vegas.
Claire Grant, the trust's Edinburgh operations manager, said: "We can’t wait to welcome visitors to enjoy Scottish music acts in the beautiful grounds of Newhailes.
"Everyone is welcome at this family-friendly event – so come along and enjoy the music."
Newhailes is hosting the festival
Festhailes will run from 2pm to 11pm and include face-painting, child-friendly fairground rides and food and drink provided by vintage food trucks.
Taking place on the lawn in front of the mansion, young festival-goers will also be able to play in the newly expanded Weehailes adventure playground.
