PROPOSALS to transform a pub and its surroundings into nearly a dozen new homes have been shelved.
Caledonian Heritable had wanted to change the use of The Brig Inn on Tranent’s Bridge Street.
Plans were submitted to East Lothian Council’s planning department at the end of 2018 but, more than three years later, the application has been withdrawn.
Drawings showed that the existing pub would have been converted into two new homes, with nine flats spread over two blocks to the rear of the premises.
The withdrawal of the plans comes just weeks after Caledonian Heritable was given the go-ahead by the council to extend the premises.
