THE popular Easter Egg Trails will return to historic Newhailes House and Gardens at Musselburgh for the first time in two years.
The fun trails, forced to be put on hold due to Covid-19 after Easter 2019, were a fixture of many families’ spring holidays, with about 30,000 visitors taking part each year.
Newhailes joins 22 other National Trust for Scotland (NTS) properties to take part in the event from Friday, April 15, to Monday, April 18.
Visitors can enjoy exploring the grounds of some of Scotland’s most beautiful sites, following clues, solving a puzzle and collecting a chocolate reward.
Newhailes will also welcome the circus and there will be 10 hidden golden bunnies around the property, with an additional prize up for grabs for those who find one.
Mark Bishop, director of customer and cause for NTS, said: “All of us here at the National Trust for Scotland are so excited to confirm the return of our Easter Egg Trails for April.
“For our charity, these events are a highlight of our year.”
