A PORT Seton woman will be sentenced next month after admitting attacking a woman by striking her on the head with a mobile phone.
Karen Cosgrove assaulted Louise Paton by seizing her by the head and pulling her to the floor at Macbeth Moir Road in Musselburgh last year.
Cosgrove, 43, repeatedly struck her victim to the head before attacking her with the phone by hitting her over the head with the device.
Cosgrove, of The Promenade, then threw the phone away, causing damage to it.
She appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday to admit her guilt to the two offences.
Sheriff McCulloch deferred sentence to March 22 for the preparation of background reports.
Cosgrove pleaded guilty to assaulting Louise Paton and damaging a mobile phone at Macbeth Moir Road in Musselburgh on August 2 last year.
