LETTERS are being sent home to parents after “regular” reports of anti-social behaviour on the outskirts of Dunbar.

Community police officers noted they had received reports “in and around the area of Dunbar Garden Centre, Asda and McDonald’s during evening hours”.

Police have teamed up with East Lothian Council’s anti-social behaviour team – as well as the businesses – in a bid to curb the issue.

A report to the town’s community council said: “Regular patrols have been conducted and a number of Parent Advisory Letters have been issued in partnership with East Lothian Council anti-social behaviour (ASB) team.

"One male charged with assault in connection with these enquiries.”
