East Lothian's Alex Marshall MBE is still in the hunt for his sixth world title after a two set victory over Nick Brett yesterday afternoon.
Five time world champion 'Tattie' Marshall claimed a tight first set 8-7 against Brett who was seeded second for the tournament.
The second set played out in a similar fashion until an uncharacteristic error from Brett handed the match to Marshall. (8-7, 8-4)
He will now play Englishman Greg Harlow in the quarter-final with the two playing this evening at 19:30 (Friday).
The match and the other quarter-finals will be streamed live on Youtube.
The winner will take on either Jamie Chestney or Les Gillett in the semi-final with the two also battling it out tonight.
