A FLAGPOLE looks set to return to the roof of an historic building.
Pure Malt Ltd has been given the green light to put an 11-metre flagpole on the roof of the Bermaline Maltings building, off Whittingehame Drive.
The planning officer’s report noted: “Historically the main Bermaline Maltings building had a flagpole on the roof which has previously been removed when the building became less used and its condition began to deteriorate.
"As part of the upgrading of the existing facilities, it is proposed through this application that a fibreglass flagpole be erected on the roof of the main Bermaline Maltings building in the same position as the flagpole historically positioned on the building.”
