FAMILIES are being invited to beat the January blues and boredom by enjoying a woodland trail at historic Newhailes Estate at Musselburgh.
It will be open this Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 3pm.
Trail booklets, which are available at the information hub within The Stables Courtyard, will guide visitors on a roam around the estate, which is run by National Trust for Scotland (NTS). There will be the chance to answer questions, draw pictures and gather reminders of the walk.
The trail is suitable for all ages and dog are welcome. There is a £3 car parking charge for non-NTS members.
There is also the chance to visit the mansion without a tour guide, also this weekend, from 11am to 3pm.
Booking is essential, at eventbrite.co.uk/e/211727010187
