THERE was no Lycra or running shoes in sight for a trio of intrepid running volunteers.
Instead, Dunbar RNLI crew members Gordon Kirkham, Adrian Lavery and Douglas Wight – joined by honorary volunteer for the day 11-year-old Joseph Lavery – donned their lifeboat kit… and some antlers!
The team joined the town’s Lochend Woods parkrun to raise much-needed funds for the national good cause.
The runners completed the five-kilometre course in a fairly respectable time of 39 minutes.
And the team managed to hit their £1,000 fundraising target.
A spokesperson for Dunbar RNLI thanked everyone at parkrun for welcoming the crew members and for cheering them on.
