A BURNS supper to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Tranent 25 Burns Club was held in the town.
A meal and celebratory evening was organised at East Lothian Co-Operative Bowling and Social Club by the Burns club to celebrate its 125th annual gathering on November 26.
About 80 members attended, with songs and poems recited.
Martin Whitfield MSP gave the Immortal Memory.
Tranent 25 Burns Club dates back to 1896.
A spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who came along to help us celebrate our 125th anniversary. It was a super night with an excellent Immortal Memory from Martin Whitfield, along with all the other artistes who took part. We were also pleased to present Steven Miller with life membership and, at the end of the supper, president Gordon Jamieson handed over the chain to our new president, Robert McNeill. We thank Gordon for his stewardship over the last two years and wish president Robert all the very best.”
