A VILLAGE community centre is helping residents in need by offering warm clothing and Christmas presents for those struggling this winter.

Longniddry Community Centre is appealing to those in need this Christmas to get in touch if they would benefit from receiving support with winter essentials – including jackets, hats, scarves and gloves – Christmas presents for children, or food for the festive period.

A community centre spokesperson said: “The last 18 months have taken their toll financially on many in our community.

“Community volunteers are working with centre staff and Preston Seton Gosford Area Partnership to help those who need it most this winter.

“You can call 01875 852933 or contact us through your doctor, school, social worker or housing support officer.”

The Longniddry Community Centre food pantry remains open Monday to Friday, between 9.15am and 12.15pm.
