A MUSSELBURGH couple are once again brightening up the community with another dazzling Christmas lights display to bring a smile to the faces of residents this year.

Mario and Susan D’Amico, of Ferguson Drive, raised about £1,000 for the NHS Lothian Covid-19 Appeal last year with their festive show of multi-coloured seasonal lighting.

This time, they have chosen to raise funds for Forth 1 Cash for Kids with their display, which features a Christmas tree and Santa Claus at their upstairs window.

Forth 1 Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity that helps children in need across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and Falkirk.

Its mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people who are affected by illness, poverty, neglect or who have additional needs.

The charity works with local grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, and supports families who often have nowhere else to go through its regular grant rounds.

Supporters can donate by way of a bucket outside the couple’s house, which is taken inside overnight.

Mario said: “The children love the lights.”
