FESTIVE spirit is spreading throughout Haddington with an appeal to ensure youngsters have presents to open on Christmas Day.
The town’s Bridge Centre and Lammermuir Larder have teamed up to launch a Christmas Gift Appeal to help local families who are struggling ahead of Christmas.
A spokesperson for the project said: “We are looking for donations of new gifts such as toys, games, stationery and boxed gift sets for children aged from baby to 16 years. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we can only accept new, unwrapped items.
Collection boxes will be available until Monday, December 13.”
Drop-off points can be found at the John Gray Centre, Monday-Friday 9am-1pm and 2-5pm, Saturday 10am-1pm and 2-4pm, and the town’s Home Bargains store.
