MORE than £5,000 has been collected to boost a global charity helping some of the poorest people in the world.
Haddington’s Christian Aid Week raised £5,132 for the good cause, with more money having since been collected.
A spokesperson for the Haddington Christian Aid group said: “We recently sent £346 to Christian Aid from the small change boxes and other sundry donations.”
Fundraising is continuing through a cryptic quiz, ‘Name the Tunes’, with copies available in St Mary’s Parish Church.
