Three East Lothian restaurants feature in the AA Restaurant Guide 2022, detailing some of the best food spots in the UK. 

The 2022 release marks the book's 28th edition, with each copy rounding up the best restaurants by county across Britain, alongside detailed descriptions of the location and often sample menus. 

Restaurants can be awarded 1-5 rosettes by inspectors, and while no East Lothian venues received the prestigious five, all three did win two rosettes.

Ducks Inn - Aberlady

Ducks Inn hosts a bar-bistro, restaurant and smart accommodation, serving "appealing flavour combinations". 

Offering brunch, lunch and dinner as well as coffee and cake, there is something to please everyone here.

Greywalls and Chez Roux - Gullane

Serving modern French country style across four rooms, Chez Roux at Greywalls hotel offers menus that "impress and delight". 

These include Isle of Mull scallops and chicory; roast veal with sweetbreads; roast Loch Fyne salmon with fennel ravioli; and classic lemon tart with raspberry sorbet originally created by the late Albert Roux.

The Stables at The Bonnie Badger - Gullane

This modern Scottish restaurant offers a Highlands meets Scandi interior style, with dishes inspired by the "From Nature to Plate". 

With various menus including afternoon tea, the three different rooms serve seasonal dishes created with local produce.
